Grape Varietal:  Chardonnay

Louis Jadot Macon-Villages shows bright white flower, apple and citrus aromas and bracing, fresh, clean fruit on the palate, with mineral notes. This is a classic expression of Chardonnay from this appellation.

Pairs well with poultry, shellfish, grilled firm-fleshed fish such as swordfish, and salads.

Burgundy Region
Also known as Bourgogne in French, is the main region for Pinot Noir (Red Burgundy) and Chardonnay (White Burgundy) in France. The vineyards are based on limestone originating from the Jurassic period, with chalk hills in the sub-region of Chablis. Of notable areas, the one standout is an Eastern facing slope called Cote d'Or that produces some of the highest quality wine. "Grand Cru" wines in this region are produced from a small number of the best vineyard sites designated by the AOC. "Premier Cru" wines are produced from specific vineyard sites that are still considered to be of high quality, but not as well regarded as the "Grand Cru" sites.
