Light, medium, or full body?
···
Body weight in wines is often asssiciated with mouthfeel. Can be a reflection of alcohol, grape extract, sugar content or oak influence. A light body wine is lean in this regard. Full body wines are bold and can be high in one or more of the factors mentioned.
Light Refreshing and satisfying For warm weather I love day drinking
Medium Give me some substance Not too big, not too small A happy medium it is
Full Big and bold A heavyweight I like 'em big, round and juicy Super size me I can't believe it's not butter
Dry, semi-dry, or sweet?
···
Dryness depends on the amount of residual sugar contained in the wine. This is a very low percentage that ranges from 0.5% to around 5%. We perceive a sweet taste as the small increments of this percentage increase. The sweetness of sparkling wine can range from dry "brut" to sweet "doux" varieties.
Dry Dry as a bone
Semi-Dry Hint of sweetness
Sweet Sweet bubbles

A taste of earth or minerality?
···
Often growing conditions can influence the taste of a wine to take on characteristics of earth or minerals. Examples include but are not limited to dust, dirt, mushroom, wet concrete, slate, limestone, and riverstone. Some varietals of winegrapes tend to display these characteristics more often than others.
None No thanks, I better wash my hands Not crazy about that taste Not going to get my hands dirty
Earth & Mineral Dirt don't hurt! If only rocks were edible… I'm very down to Earth
How about oak?
···
When wine is aged in oak it adds layers of flavors you wouldn't normally get from the grapes alone. Some of these flavors include vanilla, coconut, clove, tea, tobacco, caramel, coffee, toffee, leather, tobacco, and cinnamon. The list goes on and is only limited by your taste senses!
None Just a taste of fruit
Oaked I'm sensing a hint of vanilla Like a spice cabinet
Level of alcohol?
···
Dessert wines can be fortified, which means brandy is added during fermentation to preserve sugar and raise the overall alcohol percentage. Alternatively a winemaker can create a sweet wine by stopping fermentation without use of additional alcohol or starting with over-ripe grapes.
Moderate Sweetness without the heat I gotta drive home
High I need a solid nightcap Full throttle
